Kamu started as Kotisivukamu, a Finnish service that builds and maintains websites for small businesses. The same stack is now open to everyone: an AI agent that does the work, on top of technology you would pick yourself.

We have spent enough years with page builders to know how they end: your content locked in proprietary blocks, and a site nobody can take anywhere. Hand-built static sites were always the better answer, they were just too slow to make one at a time. That is the part language models changed. Every Kamu site is a static Astro codebase, fast to load and portable by construction, and the agent commits its work like a colleague would.

Every site is designed from your brief, not from a theme. The same agent that builds the site keeps maintaining it: you ask for changes in plain language, in chat or in Studio, and it ships them. If you'd rather open an editor and push commits yourself, the repo is right there.
